The Ensemble of Pericles
TANYA AVENDAÑO STOCKLER she/her (Lychordia / Lysimachus / Ensemble) recently made her professional debut in The Donkey Show (Hermia/Oberon) with the A.R.T. in Boston. She received a B.A. in Theater from UMass Amherst in 2018, and studied with BADA at their Midsummer in Oxford Program, in association with the Yale School of Drama.
CAROLINE CALKINS she/her (Simonides / Marina / Ensemble) is an actor and teaching artist living in the Berkshires. Caroline can most often be found at Shakespeare & Company, where she acts and teaches in S&Co’s Education Program. Roles at S&Co include: Rosaline, Love’s Labor’s Lost; Hermia, A Midsummer Night's Dream; Elaria, The Emperor of the Moon; Katherine/Boy, Henry V; Juliet, Romeo and Juliet. Caroline has directed in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare for eight years and for the last few summers has been the Director of Riotous Youth, S&Co’s summer program for young actors. She has traveled around New England performing in the Northeast Regional Tours of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Caroline has participated in readings and events at other theatre companies in the area (WAM Theatre, Dorset Theatre Festival) and is thrilled to be a part of this first production at the rig. JOHN HADDEN he/him (Gower / Helicanus / Ensemble) is thrilled to be part of the rig! He is a founding member of Shakespeare & Company, was cofounder/artistic director of Counterpoint Theater (Boston), artistic director of Hubbard Hall Theater Co (Cambridge, NY), and associate artist, We Players (San Francisco). He is a three-time “Berkie” winner who has worked for 40 years in theaters here and abroad, on TV and radio, independent films, schools and universities. His own plays and a short film have won awards and have been seen at PS 122, LaMama, EST, Wharton Salon, BTG, Gloucester Stage, Nat’l Arts Club, Boston International Film Festival, S&Co, Colonial, Gloucester Stage, etc. His writing has been published (Conversations with a Masked Man, Arcade, 2016) and appeared in literary journals. He is a New England States Touring Artist, Vermont Teaching Artist, member of the Authors Guild and faculty/director with New England Youth Theatre. More at johnlhadden.com.
